PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

​

Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective, Resident Artist / Associate Executive Producer, New York, NY

  • Member of the Executive & Finance Committee and Artistic Programming Committee.

  • Plan artistic and community programming, particularly our signature Rooftop Reading series supporting new plays by pre-emerging writers seeking to get their start in New York City.

  • Plan and produce events, including rooftop readings and artistic meet and greets.

Mark Morris Dance Group, Events and Operations Manager, New York, NY

  • Spearhead logistical planning and execution for internal and external events, including performances, concerts, workshops, galas, live-streams, and receptions. Increased rental event booking hours by 120%.

  • Managed all aspects of rental event production, including venue contracts, insurance certificates, and event personnel.

  • Serve as primary liaison to artists for the Duffy Performance Space. Ensure artistic, production, and safety needs are met.

  • Develop and enact new strategies to bring in new business. Increased rental event revenue by over 150 %.

  • Create and implement operational policies and procedures to improve daily Dance Center operations.

  • Create budget forecasts and new ways to track key performance indicators, including space capacity and rental income.

 

Jacob's Pillow, Sponsorship Coordinator / Institutional Support Assistant, Becket, MA

  • Created new sponsorship programs, utilizing digital and live benefits in conjunction with the dual model of the 2021 Festival. Raised over $100K for 2021, triple from 2020.

  • Researched, approached, and cultivated local and national business contacts; oversaw sponsorship contracts and benefits.

  • Wrote foundation and government grant narratives to reach the fundraising goal of $4 million.

  • Researched and created profiles for new grant opportunities, particularly for digital media and diversity initiatives.

  • Wrote acknowledgement letters to funders.

  • Worked with the artistic director and other departments to develop additional sponsorship opportunities to support new programming and initiatives. 

  • Created new systems to track data on all programming, artists, and commissioned works.

  • Organized and maintained institutional records in Tessitura.​

Mark Morris Dance Group, Operations Intern, New York, NY

  • Established and implemented more efficient systems for tracking space use, processing rental requests, and updating inventory using Google Sheets and Excel. 

  • Researched renters and their artistic work. Compiled this information for subsidized space grants from Dance/NYC and NYSCA. 

  • Served as a production assistant for performances and events at the dance center. Helped manage performance tech, front of house, and post-show receptions.

  • Created a sustainability plan to reduce the center’s environmental impact and save an estimated $3000 per year. Tracked supplies use and costs to identify inefficiencies.

American Ballet Theatre, Development and Sales Specialist, New York, NY

  • Sold subscription and membership packages to patrons by telephone. Implemented personalized sales techniques.

 

W.O.R.X, Website Designer, New York, NY

  • Built and designed websites for Guggenheim Fellow Raphael Xavier to showcase his touring dance works and to provide a base for his new mentorship program.

  • Worked directly with Raphael to establish the details of his mentorship program, creating language to market the program and a scheduling system within Wix.

Dance/USA, Communications Intern, Washington, DC​

  • Wrote and edited national press releases. Expanded the press list to reach more dance communities on the west coast.

  • Managed all social media accounts by writing posts, scheduling campaigns, and sharing updates to our membership of over 400 dance companies.

  • Created a database of Dance/USA-branded content to be used for future events, press releases, emails, and social media posts.

Grok, Advertising Intern, New York, NY

  • Wrote market reports from gathered information on clients and their products.

  • Managed the company calendar, tracking campaign launch dates, meetings, and company events.

  • Created a report on Grok’s social media profile, including analyses of competitors’ strategies, research on effective social media use, and a plan for Grok to improve its social media presence. Presented the report to the founding partners of Grok.

Enchanted Circle Theater, Teaching Artist Intern, Holyoke, MA

  • Taught English language learners grades 3-5 to improve their English through art projects, reading and creative writing exercises, and acting activities.

Wesleyan Center for the Arts, Box Office Assistant Manager, Middletown, CT

  • Sold tickets to patrons, answered phone calls, and organized tickets for mailing.

  • Managed front of house during shows, tracked and reported ticket sales to manager.

Fusion Dance Crew, Director/Choreographer, Middletown, CT

  • Organized and led rehearsals, meetings, and auditions. Led group’s artistic vision.

  • Acquired rehearsal and performance spaces and rented lighting and sound equipment.
